Growing up, I always dreamed of winning an NBA championship, never a gold. A gold was something that never crossed my mind.

I think people have had the understanding for many years that whatever happens with the separation of parents, that the kids automatically go to the mother. The fathers don't know their rights.

I've played for the Miami Heat my whole career under Pat Riley. Mr. GQ himself. So when I pick out my outfits before a game, I'm already feeling confident. And some of that swagger stays with me when I take the court.

I'm a playmaker, and I'm going to score. At the end of the day, my job is to put the ball in the basket.

Throughout my career, no matter what I've done or what decision I've made, I've made it with my family first. My priority was taking care of my family while I was taking care of business.

I work hard at my job, and I guess hard work pays off.

Mentors provide professional networks, outlets for frustration, college and career counseling, general life advice, and most importantly, an extra voice telling a student they are smart enough and capable enough to cross the stage at graduation and land their first paycheck from a career pathway job.

Instead of going into politics, I decided to go into comedy, which is the second most daunting career path for a woman.
