Historically, the judicial branch has often been the sole protector of the rights of minority groups against the will of the popular majority.

Justice deferred is justice denied.

It is our duty to watch over the actions and activities of this government and to insist that, in words as well as in deeds, the interests of our constituency primarily and of the Nation ultimately are served.

We cannot ignore the disparity in resources that continue to plague many of our school systems, especially those serving predominantly inner-city minority and impoverished children.

Where issues used to be, say, parochial or local in Ireland or England and so forth, all politics is global now because all business is global.

You still get the movies made. A filmmaker can always scrape up money to do a movie. The passion drives it. And you'll get the money. Money's the easiest thing. But the hardest thing is finding a way for people to see your movie.

Leaders at the highest levels of our government are undertaking a deliberate and systematic effort to redefine our government, our economy and our country.

In the end, I need to be fulfilled in my work - that's more important than the money.
