I grew up as a fanboy and a giant nerd, and I mean that in the most loving sense. I loved playing 'Dungeons and Dragons.'

In my opinion, what 'The Evil Dead' is to horror, 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' is to action-fantasy, with these horror elements and a steampunk-y twist.

One thing I hate in ethnic comedy is giving the audience the opportunity to laugh in a racist way at a thing. A lot of times dwarf comedians will do that, Arab comics, and gay comics will do it; everyone is laughing, but they're not laughing at the joke, they're laughing at this crazy character.

I did, like, one or two plays in high school, but I don't think I realized I wanted to do comedy until I got to college, and I started doing improv and saw the Upright Citizens Brigade perform and did workshops with them.

Stand-up comedy is an art form and it dies unless you expand it.

I think in the world we need more comedy. I wish so much that we could embrace that side of us more. I love to escape through watching comedy, and I wish for more of that in the future.
