Chick Corea was a great influence on me, musically, as I was growing up.

I hated stand-up.

I was a shy little girl, nothing like what I am now.

I have to approach my life in this way so I can do what I need to do, and do it very well.

Adopt responsibility for your own well-being, try to put your family together, try to serve your community, try to seek for eternal truth... That's the sort of thing that can ground you in your life, enough so that you can withstand the difficulty of life.

There was never any pressure on me to go into the business, but I was always aware of it. I'd go on the set with my father and he and my mother would always be singing.

While working hard for my career, I looked after my family and have been there for my mother and in-laws when they needed me around. They reciprocated in kind with their unconditional love and support for my career.

I think Christmas, for me, has always been about family, as cliche as that sounds.
