I don't enjoy getting knocked about on a football field for other people's amusement. I enjoy it if I'm being paid a lot for it.

Have confidence that if you have done a little thing well, you can do a bigger thing well too.

Relationships can be very traumatic. But being in a healthy relationship can be very empowering.

I definitely had a gang influence with friends and family growing up in South Central, and people might think that Beverly Hills definitely shielded me from some problems. But in actuality, it only opened up a whole new can of worms.

But instead of that stuff you get relationships with people and neighbors that you would never get in a city. People in small towns are a lot more open.

My dad and I didn't talk much. Our relationship was OK but not amazing. So there I was, dressed up in my sort of uniform, the clothes my band was wearing at the time. He could tell I was I getting serious. I guess he knew I was going to go for it. So he told me how to handle myself professionally, not to take what people write about me to heart.
