Most men somewhere in their psyche are still dragging women around by their hair. It's terrible. I have two daughters, but even before my kids were born I always thought that it was terrible.

I don't look ahead. I'm right here with you. It's a good way to be.

When I'm directing or producing, I like to do different kinds of stories. But you have to know what you really like, and when you do, you have to front your position.

I love women. I mean, I'm married, but I used to get in all kinds of trouble.

Fortunately during my career I have won more or less everything, so I need to enjoy it to have the right motivation.

My motivation wasn't really to get a $95 million contract, you know?

I grew up in a bustling household of women with my mom, granny, and aunts. Seeing all these strong women taking charge of their lives and living it to the fullest was a great inspiration while growing up.

I'm grateful to be successful, and I'm grateful that we can make a living, and I hope we can maintain our integrity forever. That's really my only dream. The notion of bigness or smallness, I feel like that comes and goes in such waves that are kind of out of my control.
