When human beings live together, conflict is inevitable. War is not.

So long as nuclear weapons continue to exist, so will the temptation to threaten others with overwhelming military force.

Many of the familiar little things that we use every day have typically evolved over a period of time to a state of familiarity. They balance form and function, elegance and economy, success and failure in ways that are not only acceptable, but also admirable.

It seems clear to me that the Obama Administration has no human rights policy. That is, while in some inchoate sense they would like respect for human rights to grow around the world, as all Americans would, they have no actual policy to achieve that goal - and they subordinate it to all their other policy goals.

We have ambitious goals for the future, and I know we will achieve them, in part, by working closely with our exceptional extended team.

There are so many different things that create an alchemy of success. Just like there are so many different things that create an alchemy of a failure.
