Now, look, it's true, Americans do want leaders that will come to Washington, D.C. and work together to get things done, but that comes with a very important caveat, it depends what they're trying to do.

Raising taxes won't create private sector jobs.

I am prepared to discuss the things that I believe we need to do not just to raise the debt limit. Raising the debt limit is the easiest thing. That's one vote away. The hard thing is to show the world we are serious about putting our spending in order so we can show people we'll able to pay our bills down the road.

I'm a big believer in family-based immigration.

We are all children of a powerful and great God. Of a God who isn't always going to end - things are not always going to end up the way you want them. His will is not always going to be yours.

I would say to you that Americans of Hispanic descent want desperately to give their children the chances they never had.
