At any age, you are growing up at some level, but as far as maturing and growing up, a lot of that happens in your 20s: a lot of mistakes still to make and insecurities. But at around 27, I started to come into my own as a real adult.

I feel like a lot of women have been questioning their role in their workplaces and society, opportunities that they may have missed or haven't spoken up for.

That's what I love doing - understanding another person's perspective that's really different from mine. To me, it's like an emotional puzzle, trying to figure out the humanity of a character who is very different from myself and why they think the way they do.

My philosophy is to eat as healthy as I can whenever I can, but not to beat myself up when I don't.

Before breaking into music, I had various jobs: forklift driver, driving a courier. But I was forced into working rather than doing it off my own bat because that was my dad's way: you got a job and paid your way.

I would've never tried acting. I was at this point in my life where I was like, 'I have this following; what am I gonna do?' I could've done reality TV, but I didn't see any longevity in that. And my manager was like, 'Have you ever acted before?' And I was like, 'No... but I'll try it.' And so I tried it, and I liked it.

The thing I really look for in this business is there are guys who are into football and there are guys who are in the profession for other reasons.

I was practically born and raised at 20th Century Fox studio, started to work there selling papers when I was around seven years old, and every summer vacation from school I would work in a various department at the studio. So I was an old-timer when I was 15.
