I don't like the women who stand up for the empowerment of women at the expense of men. They try to demonize men, and they try to suggest men all want to keep us down, which is one of the reasons why I don't like that label 'feminist.'

What should matter is whether I stand for female empowerment, and I don't think there are many women out there who have any doubts about that.

In TV, a woman helping another woman break in? Not that common.

If I could have half the career of Diane Sawyer, I'd be a happy woman.

I was commissioned to write some romantic fiction, and I really liked doing those, and they were very instructive in terms of building characters and plots. But it never felt right for me.

I'd like to classify my life as a romantic comedy. Unfortunately I feel it's probably more like a TV reality show.

I don't support gay marriage, but I also don't support a constitutional amendment banning it. However, I do support same sex unions that would give gay couples all the rights, privileges and protections of marriage.

Of course I would recommend marriage to others. Times are changing, even in the past people had kids without getting married but marriage gives stability to your family and people around you. It's a working institution and it can fail in certain situations.
