President Trump needs to listen to the screams of the children and the screams of this nation.

Pretentiousness was probably my substitute for actual confidence.

The amount of suffering I've seen is beyond belief. The amount of inequality is beyond belief.

I want to be at least part of the change in Congress.

You can't have empathy for somebody that's gone through something you haven't - because, definitionally, you can't. But you can feel for them and have sympathy for them. And that's what this country needs to practice more. It's about realizing that you do come from a different place.

We've all lived through something horrific, but the strength and beauty and knowledge that we're going to win eventually is what keeps me going.

If you look at what these politicians do when they speak, most of the time they are trying to convey a tone... if I make all these points and move my hands this way, I can get re-elected. When in reality, they aren't saying anything.

The youth don't vote lawmakers into office, and as a result, they don't work for them.

I get to a certain point where I just get so tired that I keep going. It creates a positive feedback loop in some ways - the more stress and work I put on me, the more stress and work I can deal with.

Congress needs to get over their political bias with each other and work toward saving children's lives.

What a lot the media, and especially Fox News, has messed up with me is they've made it seem like I'm trying to take away people's guns - that I'm against the Second Amendment.

We will change things if people stand up for what they believe in against injustice and death to save themselves and the future of America - and the world.
